Established in 1999 Windows Estate is owned and operated by the Davies family. The wines produced at Windows Estate are handcrafted, single vineyard wines following the virtues of traditional winemaking, including open fermentation, manual basket pressing and maturation in French oak barriques which allows the exquisite quality of the fruit to speak for itself.
The name Windows is derived from a surf break which is in close proximity to the Estate. The Margaret River area is well known for its stunning, untouched coastline, we wanted to celebrate this unique feature of the area whilst also acknowledging the influence that the ocean has on the style of wines produced here at Windows Estate.
The Davies family ensure that sustainability is a key focus at Windows Estate, over 60% of the Estate is reserved as natural bushland with further plantings around the 3 dams. Minimal intervention is employed in the vineyard with a focus on assisting nature, not dominating it. Only organic ferilisers are used on the Estate.
